The Advent Window Trail: To participate please register by 18 November.  A list of particpating houses on the advent trail will be available and villagers can vote for their favourite window from 30 November.  Winner to be announced on 20 December.

Friends of Smarden Church:  FOSC AGM 6.00 p.m. Smarden Charter Hall.  Short meeting followed by drinks and refreshments.  Members and all interested in hearing about FOSC's work to preserve Smarden's historic church very welcome.

Smarden Afternoon Club:  Ever wondered what medical assistance dogs do?Pam and Doug Brown will give a presentation about their ground breaking work to improve early diagnosis of cancer and other diseases. 2.00 p.m. in The Smarden Charter Hall. 

The Afternoon Club is for anyone aged 50+.  It meets on the first Friday of each month for a talk or entertainment followed by tea, coffee and cake.  It costs £10 per year to joint this friendly village club but you can come along free first time to see how you like it.

Pluckley with Egerton Gardening Society: Talk by Pippa Greenwood "Growing Great Veg and Having Fun".  The talk starts at 7.00 p.m. for 7.30 p.m. in the Egerton Millenium Hall.  Tickets cost £7.50 and are available at the Pluckley Butchers and the Pluckley Farm Shop.
