Mixed Pairs - Final

Pauline T & John H got off to a good start being 4 up after 2 ends. However Julia & Phil pulled back and established a good lead of 12-5 by the half way point. The match ebbed and flowed but by the completion of end 14 they had increased their lead to 20-9.

Drizzle descended as we entered the final four ends, the drizzle became heavy rain and at 20-10 rain stopped play. The final three ends, played in rain saw Pauline T & John H reduce the deficit to 20-12. However with Julia & Phil scoring 1 to lead by 9 Pauline T & John H conceded with one end to play.

The first competition of the year went to Julia & Phil. We are now looking forward to the singles and mixed triples.
