Herewith my report on the most recent triples league game home to Eastleigh Railway

It had all started quite well for Choi-Lin Sanders, Lin Mills and Barbara Sparling when they picked up a four on the first end. Unfortunately they stayed on four until end 6 when they picked up a three to bring them level at 7-7.  Having kick-started the game slightly they managed to keep just ahead of the opposition and indeed going into end 14 they were 14-9 up.  The Railway women however were not going down without a fight and the tenuous lead that our ladies had was whittled away to one shot going into the last end where an unreachable 2 shot tally against settled the score.  A 15-16 defeat was not cataclysmic in the scheme of things but quite depressing.

Fortunately on the next rink, Jan Body, Jan Bunker and Jeni Winney always seemed to be in command picking up three 3's and a four along the way to run out comfortable winners 21-8.

Overall it was a win for our ladies of 36 shots to 24 (3 points to 1) and leaves them comfortably in fourth place only  3½ points behind the leaders Sports Centre.
