Councillor Benjamin Scarbrough

Benjamin Scarbrough was co-opted to Speldhurst Parish Council in June 2019. He is a member of the Finance and Highways Committees, and the Environment Working Group.

Benjamin lives in Langton Green with his wife and three children. He has worked for BlackRock since 2000 and is currently Managing Director within the Technology & Operations Division. With overall responsibility for Global Investor Services, Benjamin is accountable for overseeing all monetary transfers, totalling approximately $6trn annually.

Benjamin’s wife is head of upper school at Rose Hill School and all three of his children attend school locally. The family greatly enjoy living in a thriving village with so many excellent amenities, and Benjamin is passionate about maintaining and improving the environment we live in. He puts this combination of experience and enthusiasm to excellent use in his role at Speldhurst Parish Council.
