Councillor Ed Langridge
Ed Langridge was co-opted to Speldhurst Parish Council in July 2020. He is a member of the Amenities, Highways and Planning Committees, and the Defibrillator and Environment Working Groups. Ed also oversees the parish's public footpath network.
Having spent a lifetime in marketing from a junior role in an advertising agency to becoming Managing Director of a £63m London-based agency in the mid 80’s, Ed was then head-hunted onto a Top 100 PLC board as Executive Marketing Director. He eventually went on to start his own advertising and marketing company, based in the Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells with offices in Reigate and London.
After selling his business when the big ‘60’ arrived, Ed became involved in the local community – firstly with Speldhurst Parish Council (for seven years) and then with the Langton Green Village Society (for fourteen years, four as Chair). He recently stepped down from the Village Society and was delighted to re-join the Parish Council. He is also Deputy Chair of the national Charity, 3H, based in Speldhurst and Chair of the Langton Green Car Club.
Ed has lived in Langton Green since 1985 with his wife Judith. His three children have all fled the nest, having grown up here, and he has one granddaughter with more on the way. Ed loves writing and has just had his second book published.
