Councillor Kay Dooley
Kay Dooley was co-opted to Speldhurst Parish Council in December 2022. She is a member of the Planning and Highways Committees and the Environment Working Group.
Kay grew up in Northumberland and went to university in Southampton before emigrating to Australia with her husband. They returned to the UK 16 years ago, settling in Langton Green with their two children.
Kay trained as a primary teacher specialising in Maths and Science, and she has a particular interest in supporting children with special educational needs. She has worked in both independent and state schools, lectured in teacher training in Australia and was most recently a senior leader in a local primary school.
Kay loves being in the great outdoors, is passionate about the environment, and can often be found enjoying one of the many local walks around Langton. She is glad to be serving the local community as a member of the Parish Council.
