We have been made aware of two road closures currently happening in the parish. It seems these were scheduled at the last minute, hence the lack of previous warning. Please read and factor into your travel plans:

  1. Lower Green Road, Speldhurst will be closed to through traffic, on or after 5th July 2021 for up to 5 days. The road will be closed at the junctions of Speldhurst Hill and Broomhill Road. The alternative route is via Etherington Hill, Speldhurst Road, Broomhill Road. This closure is necessary to enable a bridge parapet rebuild to be carried out by Kent County Council. This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 5 days.
  2. Penshurst Road, Speldhurst will be closed from 5th July for upto 5 days. The road will be closed between the Langton Road/Penshurst Road junction and The Spinney. There is currently pedestrain access. The closure is necessary to enable carriageway repairs.
