Presentation on Restoring Shropshire’s Verges Project

At the next Stanton Lacy Parish Council meeting at 7.30pm on 21st July at Stanton Lacy Village Hall, Janet Cobb will do a short presentation on her work with colleagues in CPRE (the Countryside Charity) Shropshire Hedgerow Hero’s and CfGA (Caring for Gods Acre) ARK project on an initiative aiming to raise awareness and engage volunteers in local projects to increase biodiversity and habitat restoration.

The 3 projects have joined forces for this year and have identified 26 sites, most in the Shropshire Hills AONB. The intention is to work in the 26 sites in all three areas i.e Hedges, Verges & Churchyards and Stanton Lacy has been chosen as a site.

See website information on the 3 initiatives:

Members of the public are very welcome to attend the presentation and if they wish can stay for the rest of the meeting too.
