2.DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

The Clerk granted dispensation to members for discussion on the budget.           

3.MANAGEMENT

seconded by Cllr.Rogers and agreed to approve matters related to finance as follows:

b)Minutes.    It was proposed by Cllr.Bradley, seconded by Cllr.Reynolds and agreed by all to approve as a correct record minutes of the meeting held on June 21st2018

c)Matters arising from Minutes.       

Community Governance Review                    Chair & Clerk had attended a meeting with Electoral Services at DBC and expressed concerns over timing and detail of the review.

d)Questions from Public & Press                 Resident informed council regarding new tenants on Cook’s Field & gave detail regarding the water leak at allotments

e)Items discussed

Sports Pavilion & Rec Grounds.         

FC Sutton Dynamos lease offer awaiting response. Recent Community Film Night reported as a success. Thames Water identified a leak in pipework, Clerk is liaising with contractor to effect repairs and shortcut the pipework to the allotment site

Jubilee Field                All in order

 

Hawley Pavilion          Chair & Clerk had meeting with Mr Clarke of HPT who updated them on the extension proposals. Possibility of FCSD supporting cost of an outside toilet for their use

 

Payback                       Work requested:

 

  1. Ship Lane litter pick (Cllr Rogers)
  2. Clear around/behind old changing rooms at Rec (Cllr Bradley & Clerk)

No work needed in burial ground

 

Standing Orders          Proposed changes regarding apologies for absence agreed by a show of hands-all in agreement

Cllr Bradley                 Regular clean up of Garden of Remembrance and discarding of unauthorised objects

Cllr Rogersbrought to council’s attention, the matter of large lorries accessing farmland using Ship Lane. Members agreed that this is a short lived procedure and there is little action this council can take.

Cllr Reynolds looking at enforcement issues regarding planning breaches

      Chair reported on the success of the Dartford Festival

We consider that the porch is altering the character of the building and any decking is incongruous with the area. The parking this was garden space and constitutes over development
