Recycled items for sale
The farm has recovered many oak fenceposts and rails from the fields. The wood is heavily weathered but beneath the outer coating lies solid, decorative material retaining a lot of variation and character. The picture below shows one of our lamps with a designer lampshade by Orwell and Goode of Greenlaw. So far we have converted the posts into unique lamps, mirror and picture frames, chalkboards, T lights, clocks, coat racks, door stops and cruets. We plan to create other items from the oak and other materials that are donated, eg bird and bat boxes, hedgehog houses, garden planters, raised garden troughs for wheelchair users, log stores. We will consider commissions if we have suitable material and we will help with community projects.
We are a not for profit group and proceeds from sales maintain and develop the shed facilities and new equipment.
We are also re-furbishing woodwork benches, vices, a dust extractor for the shed and a rotovator for the garden beds. Hand and power tools and gardening equipment are also on the list to be cleaned and repaired.
