Templeton Council

Templeton Community Council normally meets on the third Thursday of the month (except in August) in Templeton Community Hall, or online if remote access is required, starting at 7.30pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend to watch proceedings, but are not usually permitted to speak during meetings, or participate in them.

Near the start of each normal meeting there is an opportunity for members of the public to address the Council  on matters they wish to highlight. It is requested that the Clerk be informed at least three days beforehand if someone wishes to speak, so that suitable arrangements may be made. The Council cannot guarantee to answer any points raised at the time of the meeting, but will respond as soon as possible.

The draft minutes for the meeting will normally be published in the relevant section of the minutes page on this website within 7 days of the meeting date - however these will only be the draft minutes, and are subject to change before the minutes are agreed in the next meeting. Unless otherwise indicated the minutes that are on this website after the next meeting are the approved minutes.

The current dates for planned meetings as follows. The agenda for the meeting will be uploaded here at least three days before the meeting date. It can also be sent to members of the public if that is requested.  Please contact the Clerk by 5pm on the day before the meeting if you wish to attend, so that arrangements can be made.

March 21st;     April 18th;     May 16th;     June 20th;     July 18th;     September 19th;     October 17th;     November 21st;     December 19th.

If a member of the public wishes to put forward an item for the Council to potentially consider, they should inform the Clerk of the matter as soon as possible, but certainly at least a week before the date of the next meeting. This allows time for any clarification on the topic to be made, and for the agenda to include it if that is required. Not everything raised may go to Council - some things can be otherwise resolved, or it might not be within the remit of the Council to make a decision or take action upon the topic.
