2026 Season
We are actively seeking new members to join us and people of all ages and experience are welcome to come along to the Open Day and give the game of bowls a try.
If you aren't able to attend and would like to find out more about the game of bowls and our club, then do please use the Contact Form on this website and we will be in touch to arrange a trial session. Alternatively you are most welcome to come along to one of our home games, which start at 2.00pm. Watch the game, ask questions, and arrange for a session at our club on a mutually convenient date and time to have a go yourself.
As well as providing a full fixture list of friendlies (the club does not take part in league competitions) and our own regular club competitions, there are social events such as a fun evening of skittles and a highly enjoyable Quiz evening, both held in Twyford and we will continue to explore opportunities for other social events.
Our Green Team has and continues to work very hard to provide an excellent playing surface that our members can enjoy throughout the season and the high standard of our green is frequently complimented by visiting clubs.
Congratulations to new member, Keith Clark, and to old hands Richard Hodgkinson and Paul Mantell on winning The Rosemary Cup at a sun drenched Roman Road on Sunday 27th April. Richard Hodgkinson also won the first Spider of the season.
Keith Clark and Sarah Harrigan, both new members, together with Mark Rowley won The Centenary Bowl club competition recently. They are below with their trophy.
Congratulations to Peter, Sarah and Buster on winning the Nunmow Flitch. A huge thank you to Alan, assisted by Sarah, for the wonderful BBQ.
Sarah made it a hat-trick of Cup victories, when she and Alain Le Goff & Roy Shufflebotham prevailed in the Sam Barber Cup.
David Adcock and Peter Hale stormed to victory in our Pairs competition and John Dear rounded off the season by prevailing in the Singles after a close game with 2023 winner Dave Chalke.
