Who we are

Directors/Trustees

All the trustees are volunteers and therefore we are able to keep our administration costs to a minimum.

Dr Mark Galpin is a former Executive Director of United Mission to Nepal and is currently a lecturer in All Nations Christian College in England.

Joel Hafvenstein is also a previous Executive Director of United Mission to Nepal and the UMN Medical and Development Trust.  Joel is currently based in Kathmandu.

Dhana Lama is the current Executive Director of United Mission to Nepal and the UMN Medical and Development Trust.  Dhana is based in Kathmandu and regularly visits all the work of UMN and UMN MDT.

Peter Lockwood worked with UMN in Nepal for many years in a range of responsible positions before returning to Northern Ireland in 2021.  Peter is the secretary of UMN Support Trust.

Caroline Trimble worked with UMN in the 1990s and early 2000s.  Now based in the UK she is the Director of Finance and Operations at BMS UK and has been a member of the UMN Board of Trustees since 2021.

Alan Penn was the UMN Funding Management Coordinator for six years before returning to the UK in 2012.  Alan has been the administrative trustee for UMN Support Trust since its founding in 2012 until 2022 when he handed over to David Rodgers.

Dr David Rodgers worked with UMN in the 1990s before returning to Northern Ireland in 2001.  He is currently chair of the UMN Board of Trustees.  David took over as administrative trustee of UMN Support Trust in 2022.
