We are your local bowls club, located at Mount Pleasant, Neville Turner Way off Archer Road, Waltham.
Sat. Nav. DN37 0YJ.
In 1990, The Club was first formed under the name of Park Avenue, playing at Barretts No.3 green with 25 members. Waltham Parish Council placed an advertisement in the Grimsby Telegraph looking for a bowling club to use the newly laid green at Mount Pleasant. Thus in 1996 we relocated and renamed the club as Waltham Park Bowls Club.
Since then Waltham Park has grown, involving many Waltham residents, the majority of whom had never bowled before and we now have over 80 members. We are a busy club with a full calendar of events – Roving Jack, Club Trophy and Fun days along with 7 different league competitions and are widely regarded within the local bowling community.
Social bowling, Croquet and Petanque is encouraged and the green is open to the public .Our opening times are:
- Mon – Fri - 2.00pm to 4.00pm & 6.30pm to 8.30pm (8.00pm in August)
- Saturday mornings 9am to 11am (Croquet and Petanque)
We also have Croquet and Petanque (Boules) areas with equipment. The club provides stewards at these times, who will give further advice. Some woods (including those suitable for juniors to use) and footwear are available. There is a fee of £2 per session for Adult non-member bowlers. Children are free providing they have a responsible Adult to supervise at all times.
