Village Playground

Please note that the Playground will be closed from 4th October for several days for essential tree maintenance work.

Warnford Village Playground, opened in 1974,  was created for local residents and is a registered charity. The land and original equipment were donated by the Chester Family in memory of R.P.Chester CBE JP, who owned and farmed Warnford estate from the late 30s until his death in 1968, the family finally sold the estate in 1995.  The village make a generous contribution towards the running cost of the site each year through the Parish Meeting.  All trustees are voluntary and do as much of the required work as possible.

Non residents should note that this is a small site with no facilities (loos) or designated parking, the lanes are narrow and because of the large farm vehicles that often use them, they are not ideal for parking.

The annual village fete is held here in midsummer.  For more information click here.

Younger children should be supervised at all times.  The far bank of the river is not part of the playground so please do not cross the river.  Users of the playground are requested to ensure that they take all their belongings home with them.  The playground wheelie bin, near the small swing is situated in the parking area behind the hedge.  Please note that this parking is exclusively for the houses opposite.  Dogs are welcome but please keep them under control and ensure that you clear up after them for the safety and protection of all users, especially young children.
