The club has purchased a Defibrillator and we have arranged a demonstration on Friday 21st July 2017. If you can attend please arrive at around 6 pm for a prompt start at 6.30pm
It is extremely important that as many members as possible attend the demonstration so that if anyone suffers heart failure at the club there will always be someone who knows what to do. In the event of an emergency of this kind, time is of the essence as every minute that passes reduces the chances of survival for the patient.
Our defibrillator is an up to date model which instructs the user on how to administer the treatment and if it detects a heartbeat it will not activate so it cannot harm the patient. If you attend the demonstration you will be able to use the equipment with confidence and it may be you who saves a life.
The call out response is now 18minutes so it is more important than ever that this type of equipment is easily available and that people are made aware of how to use it.
