Dear All,

I am very proud to have been selected to represent England at the International Bowls for the Disabled (IBD) World Championships, in New Zealand, in November of this year, as Director for Yeovil’s Ron Homer (B2 – Visually Impaired) who is the current IBD B2 World Champion. Also, leading the Team, is Ilminster’s Mo Monkton.

As you will see from the attached information from Disability Bowls England, all members of the party will be self-funding and I am therefore appealing to all Somerset Clubs, and our County Association, to support the three of us through either straightforward donation or by organising a fund-raising event (or events) to help finance the trip. The total required for Ron, Mo and myself is in the order of £10,000, so whatever you can give will be very gratefully received. All money received will be split equally between the three Somerset members of the England team.

All donations will be acknowledged and recorded. Cheques (no cash, please) should be made payable to D J Stott and sent to the address above.

Thanking you all in advance,

David Stott
