The English Bowls Umpires Association is hold a Marker's Appreciation Course (MAC) on Sunday 20th October at Nailsea I.B.C.

The MAC was developed by the E.B.U.A. to address the concerns that Bowls England had about the standard of marking in English bowls. It is intended for those bowlers who wish to understand more about marking for either club level or for progression to an E.B.U.A. qualified marker. Newer bowlers also find it a useful way to gain a knowledge of the basic Laws of the Sport.

The course is being run by Steve Alway, the Area Secretary for the E.B.U.A. and his contact details are given on the information sheet. If any bowler would like more information, they can contact me

John McKenzie (Somerset County Markers Mentor/Assessor))
