E.B.U.A. MARKING AWARENESS COURSE

By request we are running the Marking Awareness Course at

Nailsea Indoor Bowling Club

Mizzymead Recreation Centre, Nailsea, Bristol BS48 2JJ

On Saturday 29th January 2022

starting at 9:15am, approximately 5:00pm finish

______________________________________________________

The course is open to all club members, even if you only want to be a Club Marker, and it is also the first step if you wish to become a Regional Umpire.

The course will be run in a day. There will be an attendance certificate issued. There is NO exam, but you will be required to complete all the measuring exercises.

Cost of the course is £15, which includes a Markers handbook and if you wish to go on to become a member of the E.B.U.A as a Marker then please talk to us after the course. It is the hope of the EBUA to have at least two trained markers in every club.

The course will be informative and fun. You will be divided into small groups for a non-competitive quiz, which is aimed to create discussions on the Laws of Bowls that are relevant to Markers. We will detail time management techniques, so the players are never left waiting for you. After we demonstrate a series of measurement exercises, you will all be expected to demonstrate that you can also perform these tasks.

If you are interested, then please contact:

John McKenzie on 07900 218730 or oands@smileyhousehold.me.uk

We need to know your name, your club and your contact details.

The Course will be a full day. Food arrangements will be notified nearer the date.
