There are two more matches now arranged during May, as follows:
Sunday 23rd May, Isle of Wedmore, Away, 2.30pm (4 mixed Triples)
Wednesday 26th May, Hemyock, Away, 6.00pm (4 mixed Triples)
Both matches played in greys. Covid-19 level 3 restrictions will be in force then (hopefully), however we won't know the implications for bowls until around the 12th May.
Please email me ianholly1949@icloud.com if you wish to be considered, or fill in the availability on the paper version at the club. Please don't do both as this makes extra work for me.
Kind regards
Ian
Can I (Jay) add the following point- In any sports club the most important and difficult job is that of team selector. As the old saying goes, it is impossible to keep all of the people happy all of the time. Due to covid 19 restrictions the early season fixture list has been decimated. Many of these matches have been rearranged for after the 21st June, so there will be more opportunities later in the season.

Also, in the same way that you can't fill a football team with 5 goalkeepers and 6 full-backs, or a cricket team with 6 wicket keepers and 5 left arm spinners, a bowls team has to be balanced, that inevitably means that some members will be selected for more games than others.
Our team captains and selectors will endeavour to give all members games. The best way to ensure you get match time is by putting your name down for as many games as possible, you won’t be picked for all of them, but you will be selected for a fair number of games.
