Luncheon & Presentation of Cups & Trophies at

Batch Country House, Lympsham, Nr Weston-super-Mare BS24 0EX on

Sunday 3rd November 2019

To Club Secretaries and Chairmen

Following the resounding success of the last few years it is hoped that this year’s luncheon and prize presentation will continue in the same manner and support. Presidents David Bishop and Ailsa Midwinter are hoping to achieve 100% attendance from the clubs and trust you will send at least one couple to represent your club if not more. The event will again be ticketless costing £23.00 per person. May I mention many clubs purchase places for serving officers such as the President, Secretary or Captains and their partners in recognition for their hard work during the season, also, I wish to remind club secretaries that they should ensure members of their clubs who have won trophies/prizes should book their places as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointment.

Enclosed with this circular is a poster for your notice board which I trust you will display prominently and encourage members to attend as well as a booking form giving choice of menu which should be returned to Don Bridges by Friday 18th October.

Please remember it is an achievement for all those who are to receive, Cups, Trophies, Cash Prizes, Certificates and Medals should attend so that they can be presented with them personally. This includes winners and runners up in all County Competitions, all players including reserves who reached the finals of the Fear Cup, Fear Plate, Southey Trophy, Turnbull Cup, and Wedmore Plate and the winners of the D. Ellis Trophy. It also includes the League winners and runners up of the Premier Divisions plus the third place in Premier Division1, the winners and runners up in all Divisions 1 & 2 and the winners of Division 3.

Again, there will be a Patrons Grand Draw (formerly whisky draw) and all clubs as well as individuals are invited to donate a “bottle”. Since we are now unified it has been opened to include the ladies tipple as well as whisky, e.g. gin, brandy, rum, vodka, port, or sherry etc. Please indicate on the booking form if you will be contributing to the draw. All bottles contributed should be clearly labelled with details of the donor(s) so that a list of benefactors can be recorded.

May I take this opportunity to thank you in anticipation of your continued support again this year.

Don Bridges,

Luncheon Organiser
