SOMERSET PATRONS ASSOCIATION 2020 NEWSLETTER
Wellington BC
Another bowls season will soon be upon us and its time to issue the various forms.
We realise it is still a couple of months away before we get going outdoors but we would greatly appreciate your help in dealing with the various matters.
Our Secretary has once again arranged a full programme of matches all of which are mixed except the one for ladies on 16 September 2020.
There are 4 documents enclosed with this Circular:
a) Match Application Form
b) Fixture List
c) Information sheet about the Patrons explaining why we exist and seek support from Club bowlers
d) Subscription Form (to be completed by the Club and returned to our Treasurer by 31 July.)
Barrie, Carolle and myself David, are the Officers of the Association and we would greatly appreciate Secretaries/Patrons Reps giving a copy of (a), (b) and (c) to each of your members in order to promote the Patrons.
In particular we would like to stress:
a) our matches are played in a relaxed atmosphere and are suitable for bowlers of all abilities.
b) Club members may apply for as many or as few matches as suits each individual always bearing in mind their club responsibilities
c) As all but one of the matches are mixed they present an ideal opportunity for spouses/partners to partake together and to play at clubs that may be outside the range of their usual club fixtures.
Subscriptions are as cheap as chips!
£1 per member per season but if the club pays for all its members (as many do) then the fee of £1 reduces to 50p per member. The means by which payment can be made is shown on the Subscription form. You can now also pay by BACS/Internet Banking.
Let’s hope that this year we will be blessed with dry and sunny weather for our matches.
