Key Reporting Bodies in the UK

  • Action Fraud (England, Wales, Northern Ireland): The central reporting centre for fraud and cybercrime. Report online or call 0300 123 2040.
  • National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC): Forward scam texts to 7726 (SPAM) and report suspicious emails/websites to report@phishing.gov.uk.
  • Trading Standards: Report businesses acting unfairly or illegally through Citizens Advice.
  • Your Bank: Contact them immediately if you've sent money to a scammer to see if funds can be recovered.
  • Local Police: Call 999 if you or someone else is in immediate danger, or 101 for other situations.
