CIL Reports
Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a charge placed on certain types of new development to help fund the infrastructure needed to support growth. Parish councils receive 15% of the CIL generated from developments in their area, and self‑build homes are generally exempt. This funding must be spent on projects that fall within the definition of infrastructure, for example, improvements to footpaths, traffic calming measures, play areas, and community facilities.
A CIL report is produced each year in which the council has held or spent CIL funds; if no CIL money is received or carried forward, no report is required for that year.
