Firstly a big thank you to Brian Brooke, Peter Bew and Chris Jeffries for their continued hard work in the upkeep of the green and the gardens and also to the other regular helpers, Joe Walsh, John Bayley, and Jim Dawson who also help in collecting the grass cuttings, cutting the outside of the green and generally keeping the outside area tidy,

There is a huge amount of work to be done for a small band of regulars and it would help considerably if club members could spare some time to help. Following the green being scarified and cut this creates a lot of grass that needs to be bagged and taken to the council tip. The greenkeepers are usually working on a Monday and Friday morning from 8.00 am. This morning (19th August) Joyce Wing, Caroline Walsh, Don Jordan and myself filled in excess of 50 garden sacks which Joyce Wing and Jim Dawson kindly took to the tip. There are still a number of bags that need to be filled so please spare a little time on either a Friday or a Monday to help. Rember this is YOUR club.

Any help you are able to give would be much appreciated.

Tea and biscuits provided!
