As you may be aware the Parish Council shares an MVAS with Stoke Mandeville Parish Council and this unit is currently with Stoke Mandeville. A few weeks ago WTPC purchased a second MVAS unit so that we will always have at least one up in the parish.

The new unit was first used in Worlds End Lane, unfortunately it would appear there was a problem with the battery and it only worked for two days. The data for these is shown below but as it is over a short time frame it is not very comprehensive.

The MVAS has now been relocated to Church Lane and was tested on the day it was installed (16th April) and again today (18th April) to ensure it is working. We will continue to monitor the battery life over the next two weeks.

If you notice a problem with the MVAS please contact the Clerk – clerk@wtpc.org.uk so that we can investigate.

The Parish Council routinely sends the data collected by the MVAS to Thames Valley Police.

Data for Worlds End Lane from 16th – 17th March 2018

  • Average speed = 27.5mph
  • 85th Percentile Speed = 34.0 mph
  • 85th Percentile Vehicles = 1,217 counts
  • Max Speed = 60.0 mph on 17/03/2018 16:55:00
  • Total Vehicles = 1,432 counts
