How big is Whitchurch Baptist Church?

We are a growing church, currently with a regular attendance of between 40-50 people.

Is there Childrens Work?

Yes! We have Childrens Work at every service. It is something that we are developing as we grow as a church. We currently have around 10 Children coming to the church between the ages of 2-11. We have a Creche for the under 3's and Childrens work for those of a primary school age.

Create Church - New Childrens Service

On the first Sunday of every month we have a 'Create Church' Service. This is a service aimed at Children and Families. It is a café style service with people sat around tables and there is a table of crafts in the middle for the Children and young people. a typical 'Create Church' service looks like this:

- 20 Mins of Sung Worship - aimed at Children

- 10 Min Narrative sermon - bringing to life the Bible Stories.

- 30 Mins Response - Children through Arts and Crafts and Adults through discussion around tables.

- 10 Mins show and tell.

Do you celebrate Communion?

Yes, we celebrate communion as a family on the 3rd Sunday of every month.

What is a typical Sunday like?

We are a relaxed church. We arrive for a service start time of (around) 10:30am. We sing as part of our worship to God, we take up an offering to susatain the work of the church and it's mission to love and serve people, we read God's word and reflect on that either through a sermon or discussion. After the service we have tea, cake and fresh filter coffee and a time for fellowship.

What is the worship music like?

We have two very gifted pianists. They leads us in our sung worship, we sing very modern songs as well as classic hymns.

We hope this gives you a flavour of what we are like as a church.

God Bless you,

Andy Fitchet, Pastor.
