As Wilmington and Joydens Wood residents get ready to attend one of the two Remembrance day Services being held in the Parish the Council thanks the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from 1st Wilmington Scouts Group for the beautiful display of painted poppies and stones that are on display in the Rose Garden as part of the Parish’s recognition of and thanks to the many thousands of Service Men and Women who gave their lives not only in the Great War but all subsequent and continuing conflicts. Please take a moment to look at the dispay.

Thanks also to Nicole from 1st Wilmington Scouts for her great idea of involving the Group and to Ann from the Wilmington Society in helping with the display.

The Parish Council hopes that this might become a regular part of Wilmington’s Remembrance Day Services representing a fitting tribute from Wilmington's younger residents to the Fallen.
