The community that is Wilmington came together this morning to honour those who, not only in World War 1 but in the many conflicts that followed, gave up their lives so that we can enjoy the freedom we have today.

The Chairman of the Parish Council, Councillor Stacey Brown said 'It was fantastic to see so many amazing community groups, schools, local representatives and Kent Police lay wreathes of respect and remembrance.We will not forget the scarifices made not only by those serving in the Armed Forces but also the Merchant Navy and the Civilian Services such as the Police and Fire Brigade'.
