Charities and community organisations

The following charities or community organisations accept donations of surplus food. Some will accept items past "best-before" but never items which have past the use-by date.  Please contact them directly if you wish to make a donation.

Fruits of Fulflood is a community project which has been running for 8 years. We use surplus fruit and veg from local gardens and allotments to make preserves - jams, jellies & chutneys. Every year we choose a local charity to which we donate all funds raised from the sale of the preserves.

Crop Share

‘Cropshare’ is a scheme where local gardeners and allotment holders can legally sell their surplus fruit and vegetables.  

Ooooby Winchester - Ooooby Winchester CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise, delivering fresh, natural food and supporting local producers. We deliver to SO21, SO22, SO23, SO24 and some SO50.  They operate a Crop Share Scheme and an Honest to Goodness box; subsidised for families on low income

Fare Share - FareShare is the UK's largest food redistribution charity, taking edible surplus food from more than 500 businesses, including major retailers, manufacturers, farmers, and growers and redistributing it to vulnerable people through a UK-wide network of almost 11,000 frontline charities. UK Harvest - UK Harvest is a not-for-profit perishable food rescue operation that collects quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivers it, direct and free of charge, to charities. Too Good to Go - Social impact organization that is fighting food waste by creating a global food waste movement. This is done through work with schools, businesses, households, public affairs and our marketplace. Our marketplace is an app that connects consumers with businesses who have surplus food so no food goes to waste.
