Emergency Planning
The Wolverton Parish Council are updating our Emergency Plan, and one of the primary risks we want to prepare for is a situation where the Parish is cut off from mains electricity for an extended period. We are also planning for events where all roads are blocked, and the Parish is isolated.
In such circumstances, it would be hugely valuable to know where there are homes with heating and cooking facilities that can be operated independently from mains electricity, and where these facilities could be made available to vulnerable neighbours.
Examples could be log burners, open fires, or gas cylinder fuelled ovens/hobs, and homes with access to domestic scale back-up generators.
The Parish Council would like your help to survey the Parish to establish a record or where such equipment exists and could potentially be available to support the community in an Emergency. Could you take a few minutes to review and complete the Questionnaire below?
Vulnerability
In an Emergency, the Parish Council would want to prioritise supporting vulnerable Parishioners. We would therefore also like to establish a register of vulnerable Parishioners that would be included in our Emergency Plan.
Vulnerability could be for a number of reasons, including age (young or old), medical conditions, disabilities, and could be permanent or temporary.
Please also use the Questionnaire below to let us know of anyone at your home that you would like the Parish Council to consider in the event of an Emergency.

For completeness, we'd like to know all the homes that have reviewed the Questionnaire so even if you have no information to share, please could you complete the attached short Questionnaire and send to the Parish Council . The Questionnaire also includes further information including contact details.
The template below can also be downloaded from the Parish Council website www.wolvertonpc.org.uk, and sent to sje@wolvertonpc.org.uk when completed.
Alternatively, it could be completed in writing and sent to the Emergency Coordinator, Councillor Stuart Easterbrook, at Stock Bank Cottage, or to another Parish Councillor. It could also be scanned an emailed to the address above.
