About Us

You will have noticed that things are happening locally with St Bartholomew’s Church serving as our much needed local village hall. Lots of fantastic events, overseen by Coffinswell Panel, have brought people from Coffinswell and Daccombe together, from coffee mornings to film shows and live music events.

What we are hoping to do now is to involve more people in setting up these events and so we are asking for people to offer help.

It can be at any level that suits you. You can offer to help with a small job, or larger tasks, for as long or as short a period as you like. The rewards are plenty, mainly working with friends and neighbours to do something together for the better good of the community. Our events raise funds for future social gatherings in the village as well as supporting the running costs of the church and sometimes raising money for local charities.

Here’s a few of the regular jobs you might like to help with?:

  • Leafleting around the village
  • Distributing posters and leaflets in surrounding villages, your workplace etc
  • Making cakes
  • Serving tea and coffee at events
  • Helping set up the space in the church
  • Helping on event days
  • Offering overnight accommodation to artists appearing at village events
  • Fundraising
  • Making connections with sponsors
  • Thinking of ideas for raffle prizes and sourcing donors

If you feel that you can offer help, then call to add your name to the rota - Call Kate or Graham 01803 875527

Don’t forget that one of the most important ways you can help is by coming along to events and enjoying yourselves while getting to know your fellow villagers
