Wrexham Lions are currently involved in a numbers of Welfare projects

Child Flight. 10th December 2025

We met at Gresford Colliery Sports & Social Club, were Val Davie served us with tea coffee and soft drinks before we departed.

Apollo Taxi's picked up some of the children from home and return them home after their trip.

Ali Roberts, Tesco's Community Champion bought gifts for the children donated by Tesco.

We travelled by Unicorn Travel coaches who transported us to Manchester Airport and back again. Rhiannon Carrol one of their drivers also accompanied the children on the flight.

We had a very special guest this year Tina Mannering Mayor of Wrexham.

All these people have helped make this a dream come true for these children

We reached Manchester Airport to be greeted by elves (airport staff) who guided us to the booking desk to get our boarding passes. Then though security to our own lounge . After refreshments onto a specially decorated plane, were lots of fun and laughter took place, to find Santa. After finding and following Santa back to the airport we headed for Santa's grotto were the children received more Christmas gifts from Santa.
