Annual Parish Meeting
The Annual parish meeting is a legacy from the Middle Ages, when local councils did not exist, and all local decision making was carried out by meetings of the whole community and took place in the church vestry.
The Annual Parish Meeting is open to all electors of the Parish, who have the right to attend and if they wish speak on any matter of local interest. This meeting has its own minutes which are separate from the Parish Council minutes and these minutes can only be approved at the next Annual Parish Meeting the following year.
Despite attempts by Wrockwardine Parish Council to encourage attendance of residents and parishioners, no one, except Parish Councillors, the Clerk and invited guests have attended. At present therefore, the Parish Council is not planning on calling any further Parish Meetings.
If anyone would like to see these meetings return, please make representation to the Parish Council at one of their monthly meetings during the Public Session.
