The following article appears in the February issue of The Broadsheet.

The Council would like to wish everyone a happy new year!

At the November meeting the budget for 2022/23 was set and the precept agreed at £9,300. This is an increase of £200, or 2.2%, from 2021/22 and results in a Band D property within the parish contributing £53.04 annually (an increase of 24p on the previous year). West Berkshire Council collect the precept in with council tax and makes two payments to the Parish Council of these funds during the year.

The Council would like to thank everyone who responded to the request for residents’ views regarding the proposal to remove the brick curtain inner wall. The Council has agreed to proceed with submitting a planning application for this work. If the application is successful, the Council will be applying for grants to fund the building works.

The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Thursday 17th February at 8pm. Members of the public are welcome to join us. The agenda is published in the week leading up to each meeting on our website and on the noticeboard outside the Village Hall.
