West Berkshire Council: What’s your Leisure? Help us inform our draft Leisure Strategy
Yattendon Parish Council
We all have a favourite thing we like to do. It’s different for everyone, but once you find your ‘leisure’, you want to do it as much as you can.
It could be something that gives you a little peace and quiet. It could be something that gets you hot and sweaty, outside close to nature, or gives you time with your friends, making you feel part of a team.
We’d like to learn more about the sport and active leisure activities you enjoy. We also really want to hear from you if you don’t do much physical activity, so we can do our bit to help you get moving.
We’d also like to know whether your leisure activity has changed as a result of Covid.
Whatever you want to do, we want to help you make it happen.
Howard Woollaston, West Berkshire’s Executive Member for Culture and Leisure said,
“We know that leisure is a personal choice and we want to provide as much of what people want as we can. We’re now looking to inform our draft leisure strategy and carry out a final needs assessment to make sure there are as few barriers as possible to people accessing their chosen Leisure.
“There are lots of leisure opportunities in West Berkshire, we have an amazing amount of beautiful countryside and lots of activities on offer, but we need to make sure we have what people want.
"We’ve put together a short survey and would like input from people who live and work in West Berkshire and those that visit too.”
