Zeals Parish Council


About Zeals

Zeals is a village and civil parish in south west Wiltshire, England. The village is about 2.2 miles (3.5 km) west of Mere, next to theA303 road towards Wincanton, and adjoins the villages of Bourton, Dorset and PenselwoodSomerset. Its name comes from the Old English sealh meaning a small willow or sallow. The parish includes the hamlets of Long CrossWhite CrossLower Zeals and Wolverton.

Welcome to the Zeals Parish Council website. The parish council have set this site up to provide information about the village of Zeals in Wiltshire and enable the parish council to publish information such as policies, records of minutes and financial data. The website will also enable the parish council, as a public body, to meet its obligations concerning the disclosure and availability of information that can be accessed by the public.
