Autumn Harvest & Village Hall Open Day
10:00am – 3:00pm
Details
A village fair to celebrate the harvest season and the heart of our community — the Village Hall. Everyone is welcome to browse stalls, chat over refreshments, and enjoy a family-friendly day out. Village Hall spaces will be open so people can see what’s inside and what kinds of groups or clubs meet there (e.g. gardening club, WI, future community activities).
Activities Could Include:
-
Local produce and home-grown stalls (vegetables, preserves, plants, crafts)
-
Baking & home-produce competition (cakes, jams, pickles) — judged in advance and displayed during the fair
-
Children’s crafts / pumpkin-decorating / face-painting
-
Refreshments and teas/coffees served by community volunteers
-
Information stands about local community groups (e.g. gardening club, WI, local history, church) and parish council info — giving residents an opportunity to find out how to get involved
Purpose / Benefit:
Showcases the village hall and encourages use of community facilities; gives residents a chance to buy and sell local produce, meet neighbours, and support community cohesion; highlights and celebrates local produce and hobbies.
