ROAD CLOSURE - SALISBURY ROAD

SOUTHERN WATER have advised the Parish Council of planned closures when they replace the main sewer which has over the last years, burst on two occasions. The planned upcoming works start on 30 June, although it is potentially subject to change - we will advise if these materialise as and when we are informed.

Three separate closure events and temporary traffic lights are planned, as shown on the map associated with this post:

1. 30 June to 5 August - Salisbury Road from Dobbies Roundabout to Balksbury Hill entrance: diversion of some local traffic down Foundry Road to Balksbury Hill and back to Salisbury Road. (see FLYER BELOW for traffic flow)
2. 6 August to 30 September - Balksbury Hill junction closed from Salisbury Road. Local traffic to approach and exit from Balksbury Bridge end only (SEE POSTER BELOW for traffic flow)
3. 30 Sept to 14 October - Traffic Lights at Junction of Salisbury Road and Balksbury Hill.
4. 15 October to 27 November - Salisbury Road closed from Dobbies roundabout to Balksbury Hill Entrance (see FLYER BELOW for traffic flow). Again, some local traffic may detour along Foundry Road.

Even though most of the roadworks will be outside Upper Clatford parish boundary, the implications for parishioners will be significant, with all Salisbury Road traffic being diverted through Anna Valley along Foundry Road.
