A guide to integrating social media

With your HugoFox website, you can integrate your Facebook and Twitter accounts so that news articles, job listings, events and offers can be posted directly to them. You can also post links to other websites you own, so that visitors can find your content better.

Click on "Social" in 'My Account'

To connect your Facebook account to HugoFox, click on the "Sign in with Facebook" button.

A window will open up, that will enable you to connect your Facebook profile to your account. If you are logged into Facebook, you will see this window:

Click on "Continue as " to connect your site to Facebook. If you are not logged in, enter your Facebook details in the window that appears. You can also sign up for a Facebook account from this window, if you don't have an account already.

You will then see a window that will ask if you would like HugoFox to post things to your Facebook on your page. If you are happy with this, click OK.

Your personal account is now connected to your HugoFox. However, if you have a Facebook page that you would like to connect it to instead, follow these instructions:

Make sure you are still connected to Facebook through your "Social" page. Click on "Publish to your Page instead?

Another pop-up box will appear, asking if you wish to connect a Facebook page to your HugoFox site. If you are happy, click OK.

From here, you'll be able to select the page you would like to connect your website to. Choose the one you want, and then press "Save".

That's all there is to it! Your Facebook page is now connected to your HugoFox website. Click the "Save" button at the top of the page to confirm your changes.

Twitter

To connect your Twitter account to your HugoFox website, click on the "Sign in with Twitter" button on the Social page:

If you are already logged into Twitter, your account will be connected automatically. If you're not logged in, you will see this window:

Enter your login details, and click on "Sign In". Your account will then be connected with your HugoFox website. Simply click on "Save" at the top of the page to confirm your changes, and that's it. It's as simple as that!

Other Social Media Accounts

You can also enter the addresses of other social media accounts you own, which will be shown at the bottom of each page on your website. You can enter addresses for Google+, LinkedIn, Flickr, Instagram, Pinterest, Vimeo and YouTube. Simply enter the addresses of the pages you use, then click on Save at the top of the page to confirm your changes.
