Job Vacancy - Kirton Parish Council

 

Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer - to start ASAP

Kirton Parish Council has a vacancy for a part-time Clerk to the Council and Responsible Financial Officer. Duties include attending Parish Council meetings every month usually 7.30 pm on Tuesday evenings, preparing Agendas and mailing to Councillors in readiness for meetings: recording Minutes: checking planning applications: liaising with different Councils on the Councillors' behalf: finances and annual audits: general clerical duties. The post is approx 16 hours per month, Salary will be in line with current national guidelines. The Clerk will work from home as Kirton Parish Council does not have its own office.

Candidates will be familiar with word-processing, email and be generally computer literate, and preferably have some experience of minute-taking and the formulation and implementation of Council policy.
