Salary - Hourly, from £13.50 (21+), £11.50 (18-20), £9.00 (under 18/apprentice)

Location - Godshill, Isle of Wight

Godshill Parish Council is recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic person for cleaning and basic internal and external maintenance activities.

You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our hi-tech public convenience block. You will also help ensure that the main public areas in the village are kept clean and tidy.

You will be required to perform regular cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. Ensure all areas of the public conveniences, including the private backroom area, are kept clean and tidy. Follow health and safety regulations and guidelines. Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the parish clerk.

Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential. Good attention to detail and a knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations is an advantage. However, full training will be provided.

You will also be required to keep the general area around the public toilets and free car park clean and tidy.

The position is flexible with hours to suit but will require attendance most days of the week. The position would best suit someone who lives in Godshill.
