What a way to end the year - this week we hit the 10 tonne mark, meaning Boroughbridge Community Larder has managed to keep 10 tonnes of food and associated packaging from landfill. What a fantastic achievement in just 9 months!

So we would like to say a very big THANK YOU to everyone who donates food and household goods to Boroughbridge Community Larder: Morrisons (Boroughbridge & Ripon); Fink: Minskip Farm Shop; Great Ouseburn Village Shop; Booths (Ripon); Aldi (Ripon); Co-op (Thirsk); Sainsburys (Ripon & Northallerton); the allotment society and local households. Also to Boroughbridge Methodist Church who allow us to use their premises for the Larder.

And of course a big THANK YOU to all our visitors who come each week to take away a free bag of food.

Finally, another big THANK YOU to all our volunteers who each week work so hard collecting and displaying the food and then running the Community Larder on the day.

Please remember that the Larder will be closed on Weds 28th Dec but will reopen on Weds 4th Jan.

We would all like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
