12/11/25 Gas Supply Update from the Residents’ Association & Next Steps
- Regency are withdrawing our gas supply - we believe this is a breach of our written agreement.
- We have taken Regency to court. That could take months/years to resolve.
- In the meantime we asked for an interim order to pause their withdrawal.
- We’ve been waiting to hear back from the court but Regency’s final supply date is only 13 days away, so we cannot wait any longer for the decision.
Action for residents:
- If you have not yet signed with Calor or Flo, please do so now to avoid interruption.
- Always carry out due diligence before signing contracts.
- Flo’s two‑year fixed price deal looks promising:
- Paul from Flo has said, no minimum purchase requirement (even two bottles a year is acceptable).
- Small print does show early exit fees apply - so check you are comfortable with the terms.
Ways to sign up:
- Paul from Flo will be on site all day Tuesday, 18th November.
- or Email: paul.burton@flogas.co.uk
- or Phone: 07350 440568
He said if another day is needed next week, it's fine, but see how things go.
If you want to explore Calor, that’s up to you. However, we have found them evasive when answering residents’ questions, so we cannot personally recommend them - but the choice is yours.
Court proceedings:
- We will continue with the case against Regency in the background.
If the tribunal finds Regency breached the contract:
- They could order the site owner to resume bottled gas supply (though this may be difficult if we’re all locked into contracts elsewhere).
- They could order Regency to reimburse residents for losses (though this seems unlikely, as current prices are cheaper).
- The most likely remedy would be recognition of the stress and worry this rushed roll-out has caused.
- We will also be asking the court to establish the real reason for ending our supply. Regency claims it was for our benefit and it’s cheaper for us to buy direct. We believe there is no reason why Regency could not supply it themselves at those prices or even less for bulk, they just don’t want to (they told us they can't so the court can get to the bottom of that).
