The History Society will exhibiting the cafe of the Bowes Railway during the 1940s weekend taking place in Springwell 12 to 14 June.

Our main exhibit will be about the Home Guard in Washington, including a listing of the 1,391 men who joined, some for just a few weeks and others from 1940 to 1944

The exhibition will be up hroughout the weekend and we will be tere on Saturday from 10am
