2022 MEN’S AND LADIES' CHAMPIONS CROWNED

Last Saturday saw the 2022 Ladies' and Men's finals played at the green.

The Ladies' Singles started first with Joan Dawkins playing against Caroline Cuerden. It was a hard fought match between two very fine singles players but Caroline prevailed in the end to win the trophy. Congratulations to both players. These two players have played as a pair in the County Competitions throughout this season and will now be playing at Royal Victoria Park, Leamington Spa in the National finals on 29 August. Prior to that they will be playing at Bannister Park, Southampton in the Final of Hampshire County Champions on 13 August. Good luck and extremely well done to both of them - a terrific achievement.

John Allen and Rab Foster were pitted against each other in the Men's final. John fought hard but Rab appeared to be invincible and won the match. Again, well done to both players.
