How time flies, again we have reached the all important club finals day. Alan Boaxall stepped up to run the club competitions this year and all has gone really well. Yes, as ever, a few games got delayed during the busy season where county matches and competitions were vying for time but members knuckled down and all was prepared for our big day.

We had 10 competitions to complete with 16 differing finalist across our matches, yes some made more than one final. Our first final was completed on Friday 1st September with the other 9 all being played in glorious sunshine on Sunday 3rd. Bacon rolls started the day, setting the early players up; ploughmans lunches were ready and waiting for players and supporters to boost their energy through a long day and of course the bar provided for celebratory drinks.

What a great day, with many new names appearing in the roll of honour for 2023. A loud cheer for all the finalists, a big thank you for all who entered the competitions and make them fun, and lastly, thank you to all members who support the club through the year helping to make these occasions so special.
