Reflecting on a Wonderful Charity Day 2025 as We Open the Green for 2026

As we prepare to welcome members back for our Opening of the Green on Friday 10 April, CABC is taking a moment to look back at one of the standout events from last season — our Triples Charity Event in support of Prostate Cymru.

The day brought together everything we love about our club: sunshine, camaraderie, friendly competition, and a whole lot of laughter. We were joined by bowlers from several local clubs, all contributing to a fantastic atmosphere on and around the green.

With everyone’s enthusiasm and generosity, we raised an impressive £650 for Prostate Cymru — a brilliant achievement for a cause that touches so many lives.

No CABC gathering would be complete without the culinary talents of Al’s Pantry, and once again our resident chef delivered a BBQ feast that kept spirits high and plates full. From sizzling sausages to perfectly charred burgers, the food was every bit as memorable as the bowling.

We were also honoured to welcome Dai John, Head of Awareness at Prostate Cymru. Dai delivered an engaging and important talk about prostate cancer, encouraging men of all ages to understand the signs and seek advice early. It was especially encouraging to see our younger bowlers asking thoughtful questions and taking a real interest in the message.

As we step into the 2026 season, we look forward to more great games, great company, and great moments shared on the green.

Wishing all our members and fellow bowlers a fantastic season ahead — enjoy!
