The 2nd defib is now connected and registered with the ambulance service. This means that if someone in the locality calls 999, the operator can direct them to the nearest machine if necessary.
So, we have one on the office wall and one on the groundsmen's mess wall at the top of Main Drive.
You don't need training to use one. As soon as you open it, a robot voice tells you what to do. However, it might be useful to watch this short video from an emergency worker who explains them better than me. Being able to use one of these things might mean you save someone's life.
PS our defib is more advanced than hers. She has to push the button to shock the patient but ours is automatic.
