OUR 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Below is a link to a selection of photographs from our 40th Anniversary Day where, after the opening spider, we had a thrilling Ladies vs Men 6 rink triples match with the Ladies as very worthy winners. This was followed by a very fine afternoon tea, enjoyed greatly by all present. President Graham, in his address, reminded us about the foundation of the Club 40 years ago and the hard work and efforts of the founder members, two of whom, Joan Titheridge and John Crook, were present, as were many of our Honorary Life Members. Joan, who was about to celebrate her 101st birthday, cut the splendid anniversary cake. In honour of Joan and our Club’s 40th Anniversary, we sang Happy Birthday to both.
President Graham noted the fine work put in by many members past and present over the years and the need for this work to continue. He went on to thank all who had made our 40th Anniversary such a splendid and special occasion.
